I’m April, the artist behind those stunning images you've come across. I'm a mom to three amazing kiddos, a die-hard Disney fan who loves quoting Mulan, and yes, a taco enthusiast through and through. But beyond these fun facts, I've faced my share of self-doubts, much like many of us have.

Growing up, the women around me were always on the latest fad diets, constantly criticizing their own bodies. And, without even realizing it, I began to absorb those behaviors, those criticisms. That cycle was set to continue with my daughters, and that's something I couldn’t bear. Motherhood blessed me in ways I can't even articulate, but it also left me staring at a body that didn't feel like mine anymore. The stretch marks, the love handles—they became points of obsession, each flaw a glaring reminder of a beauty standard I thought I had fallen short of. And that's when it hit me. How I saw myself would be the mirror reflecting back onto my daughters. I couldn’t bear the thought of them inheriting my self-doubts. I was nurturing everyone around me, yet neglecting the most important person—myself.

That realization was the start of my journey of self-love. It led me to boudoir photography—a sacred space where vulnerability meets art.
