Every so often, a client walks into the studio and leaves a lasting impression, not just on the canvas but deep within my heart. On a Tuesday not long ago, she arrived at my studio, her shirt boldly proclaiming, "You are enough." A powerful statement, yet one she confessed she struggled to apply to herself. Her journey to the studio was marked by hesitation and self-doubt. Fascinated by the transformative potential of boudoir but unsure about taking the leap, she placed her fate in the hands of a model call I opened earlier in the year. Her promise to herself was simple: if chosen, she would embrace the experience. And when her name was drawn, the commitment was set, though not without its hurdles.
Rescheduling due to my studio's move and her own battles with stress and self-perception, she teetered on the edge of canceling. Yet, driven by a deep-seated desire for change, she chose to persevere, pushing her session back a few more months to ensure she could fully embrace the experience.
The transformation began the moment she sat down for hair and makeup with the incredibly talented Abbey Elizabeth. The pampering session, a prelude to the shoot, helped ease her nerves, setting the stage for a day of revelation and self-celebration.
What followed was nothing short of magical. As a photographer, my goal has always been to create a space where clients feel seen, beautiful, and, above all, comfortable in their skin.
