UNLEARNING THE BODY MYTHS WE WERE RAISED ON

There’s this unspoken rule so many of us live by:

“I’ll book when I get there.”
When I lose the weight.
When I gain some muscle.
When my skin clears up.
When I feel confident again.
As if joy, worth, and permission are only available after the transformation.

But here’s the truth I need you to hear:

You are not a “before.”

You are not a problem to be solved.
You are not an almost, a someday, or a placeholder version of yourself.
You are a whole, worthy woman—right now, in this skin, in this season.

The scale doesn’t get to decide when you’re allowed to feel beautiful

The scale—or the goal—doesn’t get to decide when you’re allowed to feel beautiful

We’ve been taught to believe that once we hit that thing, then we’ll finally deserve celebration.

But how many times have you met a goal… and still felt like it wasn’t enough?

Because it’s not really about the body.
It’s about the beliefs that say we have to earn softness. That beauty has a size. That visibility must be justified.

That’s the story we rewrite here.

Your body is not the obstacle. It’s the witness.

The stretch marks? They’re proof you lived.
The softness? It’s where you’ve carried your babies, your grief, your joy.
The arms you hide, the thighs that touch, the belly you pick apart—
they’ve carried you through everything you’ve survived.

This experience isn’t about transforming you.
It’s about honoring the version of you that made it this far.

If you wait until you’re “ready,” you might never go

Ready is a moving target.

First it’s 10 pounds.
Then it’s toned arms.
Then it’s “once the stress dies down” or “after the holidays.”

And suddenly… years have gone by. And you’re still waiting.

Most of the women who book with me aren’t “ready.”
They’re just done waiting.
Done waiting for permission.
Done making themselves small—physically, emotionally, energetically.

The photos are powerful—but the shift happens long before you ever step into the studio

It starts the moment you say yes.
To being seen.
To being celebrated—not for what you’ve changed, but for who you already are.

You don’t need to hit a goal first.
You don’t need to look different.
You don’t need to wait one more second to give yourself this gift.
